During the backup...

Ok, here's an idea which will both help us nocturnals through the harrowing back up time AND might let us give something back to boards.

You may or may not know this but boards.ie has some sister sites. One of them is www.boards.tv.

This site is up during the back up.

What I am proposing is, if you are intending to stay up AFTER the back up, you go and post there for the duration of it.

Myself and Orestes have already begun posting there (you'll need to register there like you did here) and there is an off topic forum where oreo made a back up lair.

Now in return for using boards.tv, I would ask yo try and use the other forums there while we visit, I mean everyone loves telly. Boards.tv needs the traffic and we could make a difference to it (It's not quite as- ah- successful as boards.ie).

Why do you have to pick one? With some careful plumbing (or a bath and some strong disinfectant), and co-ordination, you could surely do all 4 at once? Much more fun!

There's a Father Ted forum, which appears to have a charter and...that's it! No threads or anything in it!!

Yup, thats the point, you need traffic to generate traffic...

I think we've doubled the traffic as of late which will up their position with search engines, which will bring in more users, which means more posts, which...

BTW if you can't see any posts ina forum be sure to extend the date of threads shown to "beginning". There might be some there.
