Hey looking for a new series to watch anyone got any suggestions maybe even ones that havent been shown on uk stations?

    Some of my favs are:
    Lost
    Prison break
    Family Guy
    Battlestar
    Entourage
    family guy
    scrubs

Have watched Greys and Shameless kept me going for a while

Thinking of starting on Heros or 24 are they worth while?
    Or the wire?

Sopranos, The Shield, The Wire, House, Burn Notice, 24 (If you're desperate - Season1 is decent) There's lots out there.

'The Wire' of course. Regarded as one of the best series ever, but only because it actually is.

Is the west wing good? I've never been sure. I was thinking about getting it the other day when a friend asked me to get a few Eps for him. Is it work the 7 series download?

Well I'm almost halfway through season 6 and yeah, I think it's very good and worth a download. It's a very smart, witty show that is probably best enjoyed by those with at least a passing interest in U.S. politics.

Give The Wire another bash as it's a bit of a slow starter. It gets going around episode 3/4. ;)

Babylon 5, the greatest show ever, in terms of writing, arc construction etc.

Would also recommend the first 2 seasons of Veronica Mars.

'The 4400' is a good show, well worth watching.

What about Californication? Season 1 was pretty good but probably lacking in depth.

    Californication
    Sopranos
    Dexter
    Rome

Oz, i was hooked on this, watched all the seasons over about 2 weeks. Looked forward to every episode. IMO though the last series pretty much sucked.

24, working my way through season 2 of this now, season 1 is good, takes a few episodes to get into it. Season 2 is awesome straight from the get go, but you'd need to see season 1 first of course.

House, just a fantastic show, haven't seen it in a while, waiting for the last season to finish (has it?)

Dexter, i know you said you weren't a fan, but it is a seriously good show and season 2 is so so sooo much better than season 1.

Arrested Development... I started watching this around the same time as Oz, but I leaned towards oz and pretty much forgot about it, it's ok though, some of it is hilarious.

Californication... Fantastic, Mulder is in great form! Plus it's a short season with short episodes so it won't take you long to get through it.

    The Sopranos, good stuff altogether.

Nip/Tuck... First season was awesome, second was also great... I kinda lost touch with it though, don't even know what season it's on now but will be making a download soon to catch up.

American Dad... If you like Family Guy you'll like this. But family guy is more superior.

Curb Your Enthusiasm.. Pretty much the finest comedy show in the WORLD!! It's just that damn good.

Heroes.... To be honest, i've watched the first couple of episodes, but there's just something about it that i don't like.. I haven't given it a proper chance yet and i will watch more, but it didn't really do anything for me. Seems a little self indulgent and OTT.

Law & Order: SVU..... My favourite of the L&O franchise, i haven't really seen a season from start to finish due to only catching it on TV3, but well worth the download. Excellent program.

A big +1 to Curb your Enthusiasm and Arrested Development.

Arrested Development is hillarious. The characters and the scripts are superb.

As stated above Curb is the funniest TV show ever written, there isn't much more I can say about it - just watch it. On that note Seinfeld is an absolute classic too, but I still think Curb is better.

Trailer Park Boys is well worth a watch. Imo one of the funniest comedies of the last couple of years. Very underrated.

Agree with most of that, but even if you don't find Seinfeld the least bit funny, Curb Your Enthusiasm is still well worth watching.
