Do we have enough Batman threads?

Looking down the page here, I think it's clear that Batman is a topic of debate.

Or actually no debate whatsoever, more a case of eternal echoes.

The question is, do we have enough threads to reflect just how obsessed we all are with The Dark Knight, and Multiple FOTW winner Christopher Nolan?

I think 8 threads on the first page aren't enough. A sub-forum is also no good as the bat obsession would simply lay this forum a barren pitiless desert wasteland with nothing other than the blasted empty skulls of Coen Brothers fans littering the unkempt borders of the past.

Should we sticky 3 or 4 threads on the front page and leave it at that?

Leave the 8 threads as is.

I've stopped reading that thread for all the people who have seen it, there's only soo many times one can read ''****ing awesome'', ''film of the year'', ''brilliant'' blah blah...

Yes, it was good. We get it.

Funnily enough i was conscious of the same thing and i had a new Batman topic i was going to start a thread on yesterday but didnt bother in case anyone thought i wanted batman to hijack the forum.

as for the OP's question, i say leave as is. No need to sticky as TDK is just the main topic of film discussion at the moment, but it will fade out in a few weeks. As long as the threads already in existence are duplicate threads (which can be merged) or dont break the rules they i guess they aint doing no harm?

Well it is a pretty good movie.

I imagine the internet was covered in "Godfather" threads back in 1972 so I don't see why TDK should be any different now that it is now the new best film in the world.

Waaay too many threads. It's a great film but there's no need for it to take over the entire forum like it has. Personally I think every recent or upcoming film should have 1 official thread and no more. I've seen this work pretty well on other boards but perhaps the film discussion here is too casual to justify it.

It's hardly like the boom in batman related topics is going to be a permanant thing. Give it a a couple of days, and things will quiet down after all the gushing has dried up.

Don't forget there are a good number of threads going around passing themselves off as ordinary threads but, under the cover of darkness, are actually Batman threads.

Absolutely. We've had threads supposedly about the politics of distribution companies vs. cinema owners, availability of subtitling, and poor projector technician performance which were all just subtle covers for sprouting MOAR THREADS. What insidious form will they take next?

45.4% of boardsies are irresolute degenerate scenesters desperate to be down with the cool kids who dress in black and smoke french cigarettes, but who don't realise the folly of their actions.

Raising Arizona is a pile of ****.
    .

    Well that concludes our broadcast.

I don't know which I dislike more, the disappointment of TDK, or the army of tools making it out to be the second coming

Too many threads alright. And to be honest, having seen 6 Batman films already, I think I've seen enough Batman for a few years.

    Batman (1966)
    Batman (1989)
    Batman Returns (1992)
    Batman Forever (1995)
    Batman & Robin (1997
    Batman Begins (2005)

Having seen the move last night, and being the in the minority who are underwhelmed by Nolan's reboot of the franchise, I'm a little perplexed by all the talk.

With that said, no, we do not have enough Batman threads. Every thread on the Film forum should be about Batman. Better yet, every thread on boards. On the internet. Everything. Ever.
