    Hi Folks,

I was hoping to get some feedback here from anyone who has converted a partition from FAT-32 to NTFS under Windows XP? A friend wishes to do this but is very apprehensive about doing so. I have had my own bad experiences with NTFS (complete lock-out of all files) so I thought I would see what other peoples experiences were like. Any and all feedback welcome :-)

I've converted my C: drive from fat32 to ntfs using partition magic without any problems.

i have converted from fat32 to ntfs with no errors. I have read that it is important to ensure that no files are compressed before doing so. Not sure about this

either way, image / backup beforehand and then you are covered

    Hi Guys,

Cheers for the feedback, really appreciated. At least I know things have gotten a little bit better with NTFS :-)
