Nordmende LCDs... what are they like?

    Hey all, im thinking of buying a Nordmende NM3777FD 37" Full HD 1080p LCD TV HDMI.

    Just wondering what the deal with Nordmende TVs?
    Are they any good? I know ya cant really go wrong with Philips, sony, samsung, LG arnt too bad either, just dont have a clue about nordmende.

    Any info would be excellent. Thanks all!

    I generally don't rate any cheap LCD TVs at all. It all depends who makes the panel, don't know who Nordmende source there LCDs from and what grade panels they are.

    yeah i know 1 or 2 brands that source their panels from the big companys. cant remember their names now tho. One beginning with P I think... Playsonic is it.
    think ill keep lookin for a 'reliable' brand

    I'd reccomend you do just that, stick with the brands you know and do a good bit of research before you buy anything.I think a good brand is especially necessary when buying a full hd 'set.Picture quality never depends on resolution alone...

    Have got a Nordmende 42 inch, a 15 inch and have just treated myself to a Nordmende DVD and can only say all fantastic. Reason I bought was recommendation from a friend who repairs LCD's

    in the 70s and 80s it was a v good brand here in ireland. expensive but recognised as one of the best for quality and duribility. the factory was in bremen in germany but ive heard that they are now owned by thompson- a french brand. so dont know what the story is now, they were relaunched here in ireland in sept of this yr. doesnt tell you much i know but gives u a bit of history.
