Returning a mobile phone

I bought a mobile phone today, it looked nice and shiny but once I turned it on... I don't know, I just think it's a bit crap. And I find it really hard to text with, it just doesn't suit the shape of my hands very well.

Do you think I would be able to return this? I have already opened the box and broken the seal but in reality everything else can be put back where it was.

If it's O2 then you have 7 days, don't think other stores have similiar though.

Go back in, make everything look good as new and explain your case. They'll say yes or no. You're not legally entitled to return / exchange it.

if you used any of the credit you have no chance, id tell them the battery doesnt last very long, they can only chagne it if its a fault they can see but it might be more difficult to see a fault such as that

you've got 14 days to return a 3 phone if your not happy with it..., you also can exchange it within 28 days for a different handset...

not sure about the other networks...it all really depends on where you bought it and what the store policy is....

As far as i'm aware most stores will take back goods within 14 days as long as you've a proof of purchace and it's boxed with all it's packaging...if you buy anything online in ireland you've also got 14 days from recipt to return it......

all this only applies to new items....

You have no rights per se as the phone is working properly but most phone companies have a customer remorse policy.

Time is of the essence, the longer you leave it the less chance of a return.

If you have used the credit there is little chance of getting an exchange.
