Hi, I have a valvestate vs102r that the other day just started to cutout and fizz a lot...anyone experienced this before on these amps , if a give it a tap on top it'll come back on for a while then go again.

    Cheers lads.

Had a Marshall Valvestate 8080 before and the volume level dipped. Diode went on it to, so my clean channel was permanently on crunch. Sent her for service to get sorted, but really it wasn't worth the money/hassle. It's probably only got one power valve. Value of those Valvestates are only about €200 or less.

It might be time to upgrade to something a bit better (more expensive). Not those MG or AVT's.
Second hand Marshall DSL or TSL for about €600 or so on ebay.
