Recent Radar Problem at Dublin Airport

My return flight from Paris was cancelled by Ryanair the night of the radar problem. Ryanair offered those effected the choice of a refund or changing your flight free of charge. This was on the Wednesday and the earliest flight I could get on was the following Monday. I had to be back for the weekend so I applied for the refund and booked myself on an Aer Lingus flight that friday. With the refund and the new flight I was out of pocket €200. Ryanair have washed their hands of any liability and have suggested people contact the IAA with their complaints.

I was wondering if anyone else had a similiar expereince and had any luck getting re-imburrsed? Cheers

They have fulfilled their obligation by offering you refund/alternative flight. The cancellation was due to matters beyond any airline's control.

If you have travel insurance, you should look to make a claim with them.
