Took these tonight but they seem too 'faded'. Any advice?

I only recently learnt the advantages of a polariser and I think that is what would have improved these. They are great shots though. There is an option in paint shop pro if you have it under effects, photos, film and filters. It gives you a few choices, I would try the vibrant foilage, mess around a little and they will prob turn out just how you imagined they would!

I like the first one. I like those kinds of composition, there's a nice tonal range and the colour cast is warm and atmospheric.

Though it seems accidentally overexposed, the last one feels like a hazy summer's day. You could even overexpose it a little more, I think.

Check the calibration of your monitor? They look fine to me ...

None of them seem faded to me either, all the colours look quite natural.

No.1 doesn't work for me,I think it may be the positioning of the subject. When photos are taken at an angle I generally find them more pleasing when the subject is set more to one side. There are exceptions to this of course but in most cases I think the subject looks better off centre. Here I think the photo would have benefitted by positioning the subject to the left/right and having the green foliage filling up the expanse. Also the rope is very distracting and the photo would be improved majorly if it was cloned out.Otherwise the photo is exposed well and you've achieved a nice warm tone on the leaves.

No.2 is my favourite of the lot. It's composed extremely well with a nice low angle on the boat while the sky/trees/water all fit in nicely in the background. The only problem is that the blues seem a bit muted.Messing around with the selective colour in photoshop should fix this.None the less very nice shot.

It's good to see you've broken the "never shoot directly into the sun" rule in no.3! It always pays to be creative. The photo is composed very nicely however I feel it's just a tad too bright. The levels could be brought down by another bit I think.

No.4 is quite a nice shot aswell, the horizon is noticably off but the light reflecting off the water looks fantastic and the warm tones suit the summers evening image.

You've got some great shots especially considering the difficult lighting conditions :)
