Firefox problems

I have always used firefox without any problems - am using firefox 3 and vista.

Yesterday suddenly vista began to stop firefox from opening via dep which I had never been aware of before - incidentally AVG also gave me a message about memory issues at this time. A restart seemed to solve the dep problem but now Firefox will start normally but once it is open other links from within it wont open nor will it open from a link within an email.

When I check the processes running it is there and if I close it down within the processes it will start normally again but problems remain as above.

    Any suggestions?

Try disabling AVG. Ive had issues with Firefox 3 and AVG 8.
