Sending money to the UK

    Hi there,

Anyone have any thoughts on the cheapest way to send money to the UK. Will be sending around 3000e per month from an Irish Bank to a UK bank. The Irish banks have a charge of around 15e which is fine but the UK banks apply an unfavorable exchange rate when recieved. And I think some apply a fee.

I have a lot of sterling commitments-loans, mortgage etc in England, hence the need to send the money over. Would it be cheaper to send the money in to a Northern Ireland bank and pay the direct debits from there?

Thank you-any info/suggestions will be greatly recieved
