Keyboard not working Vista profile

    Hi,

I have a new laptop (Dell studio) with Vista Home Premium on it, but i'm having lots of trouble with the keyboard. I have two profiles set up on the machine, but the keyboard will only work on one of them. Everthing was running smoothly on it then the keypad and touchpad jst stopped working on one profile.
The touchpad and keyboard will work for log on to the profile but once it loads up they stop. I've disabled all bar the basic services on startup and don't see anything out of the ordinary in task manager.

There are also touch sensitive volume buttons but these will not work on any profile. Even in the working profile the keys seem sticky and unresponsive.

I'd like to see if there's anything we can do to troubleshoot it before going to the hassle of sending it back to Dell.

    Any thoughts?
