Whats the specs of the one in Xtra Vision?

You could get a netbook (e.g MSI Wind, EEE PC etc.).

Or I found this, looks like great value:

Toshiba Sat Pro, I have one, not this model, near the same specs, Good machines.

415 euro, 2 GB RAM, 160 GB HDD, Dual Core..

Really good offer IMO, anything less usually has 1GB RAM, 80GB HD and a Celeron processor.

The processor is a bit crap as well as to run the vista OS you will probably need an extra 1Gb of RAM for it to run smoothly.

I bought my Acer Extensa 5620Z in Powercity for €399 about 2 months ago, saw the same one for €499 in Harvey Normans on Saturday. Dual core processor, 1gb ram, 80Gb HD, windows Vista. Works just grand although I mainly use it for admin stuff and internet. Works well with Eircom BB.

For the price of the Xtravision laptop, its a good offer, but i would rather pay the extra bit of money for the Toshiba, €436.06 (incl. del.) the extra money is worth it... but if you dont have the money then go with the Acer.

Do you like the Dell XPS Laptops?
Have one myself and they are fantastic, very well built, HDMI output, great Screen, nice accessories.

You can pick them up from €610(€500 + VAT - on the Dell outlet store - the prices in the store are +VAT , so add on 21% to get the actual price.).

The XPS M1330 is a lovely portable size, M1530 being the pretty standard 15.4" Size.

Worth a look. (Just go to www.dell.ie , click the Dell Outlet Store tab at the top).

For 380 to 400 on a laptop you are more than likely going to end up with a "Celeron", these chips are utter rubbish if you intend using your laptoip for demanding work such as playing games, decrypting DVDS etc. Celerons are realy only suitable for basic office and internet brousing. It is
worth saving the extra few bob and going for a Centrino Duo

That's a fantastic machine for the money! Is it off outlet? If it is then there's 21% to be added on.
