..this is the story about my new true love...G&P sr 25 special editon:D
delivery is from Hong Kong(in asia:P)..from Redwolf Airsoft

with that i orderd 4 mags... harris bipod, KM inner barrel 650mm
and Magpul PRS Precision-Adjustable Buttstock..

Ordering history:
i ordering my baby - 06/07/08...
sending money as urgent thru AIB wire transfer(should be next day heh) - 11/07
Redwolf got them - 19/07
shipout date with UPS - 23/07
now the fun part... travel route of my baby :
like you see down below she was flying from HK to FIlipines..then to Indonesia..--> India long jump now

First impression:
WOW..WOW:eek:..f****...sh**** om my holly god...i'm in heaven..
this baby is heavy ..realy reeeealyy havy with silencer mag and scope she is about 5 kg weight...if hold her few minutes you will fell that...
black..cold steel...with original writings and numbers..if you touch that...i just don;t have words...there;s no plasitc ..and she even don;t look like plastik..you know when you see plastik toy you can say it straigt away..the're shinig..and ligth..but not this baby!! oh now.. black matt steel is doing great job! well i didn;t had much real guns in my hands..only AKMS ..polish improved version of ak -47 ..but comparing AKMS to this baby is like comparing Porshe to aaa...opel corsa..heh..of course corsa wins:D
but words can;t describe how beautiful...that replica is..what? saying about HER replica is a insult..heh..
watch and cry..




you can see on the pictures when i moving charging handle back..then hop-up is visible...
and sometimes it dosen;t fully close...you just have to pull to max..and let it go qucikly then she's ggonna close


there only 3 things lose...
mags..there are not terrible...but they shaking.. and making a noise
inner barrel...she have some space so she;s lose i didn; check that yet but for know i used some tape..to hold her on the place:P
and a silencer ...its making a bit noise..it alomst nothing but it is

bolt catch ...is doing nothing you can press him but ther;s no reaction..so it ussles..

you can see how 650mm barrel it;s stickin out...

ps. stains on my bed are from OIL..heh :P bolts sitting very hard!

Nice. A proper SPR is hard to come by, congrats on getting one! Only G&G and G&P make them. I've been rocking the G&G version for some time now and couldn't be happier with it. I would suggest getting midcaps instead of hicaps though. G&P midcaps don't actually fit the G&G model but if they did I'd have a half dozen of them. The feed well and mean you don't have that horrible baby-rattle effect when you're on the move.

I'm assuming you're not putting the PRS stock onto the SPR though? The PRS doesn't hold a battery and there's no room in the front RAS to take one either. If you are going to use it, you may want to invest in a PEQ battery box or something similar and do a bit of re-wiring.

The other mods I'd suggest is getting a resettable fuse to replace the existing one. SPR's, as with most semi-only rifles, have a tendency to pop fuses when rapid firing. A resettable will save you having to bring a pack of fuses to every skirmish. I'd also suggest using a 9.6V battery rather than 8.4V, semi-only rifles also, on occasion, trip the anti-reversal latch. This happens to all rifles from time to time, but the way to clear it on other rifles is to switch to full auto, fire off a burst, then switch back. Since the SPR can't do this, using a 9.6V will give the gearbox enough grunt to not trip the latch (or at least it has on mine, I haven't suffered the latch issue once since and it seems to be a problem plaguing SPR's).

resettable fuse? hm...good idea...can you post some pictures...what type of fuse you're using?
i don't have battery yet but it's gonna be bigger like 9,6 or more..i;m not sure yet... and few other things will be changed..
and i have to change fire switch to orginal...any ide what type is fitting to that replica? or just normal m16?
and how you clean your barrel? did you get cleaning rod? maybe you know where i can get one?

The CA ones seem fine, though they don't work in mine either (G&G mags are the only ones that work on mine, I've tried all of them).

There's no room in the PRS stock for a battery. Once you start making adjustments to it, any battery you might jam in there will get squeezed. You'll have to run the battery elsewhere. Best bet, like I said, is with a PEQ battery box or similar. They won't look out of place on that rifle since they're usually issued to operators of that rifle in real life anyway.

The fuse is available from Extreme Fire (bottom of the page). Handy unit.

I wouldn't bother going over 9.6V to be honest. The rifle is semi only so it really won't give you any advantage. Plus, if you are going over 9.6V, you'll have to overhaul the wiring and put in a MOSFET since the contacts are easily burned on the G&P models at high voltages.

The fire selector switch is a standard Armalite style switch. What do you mean change it to the original?

I got a cleaning rod with mine, but an M16 cleaning rod is about long enough if you didn't get one. Those are fairly easily gotten online.

Ah yeah, the pass-through assembly is only on the G&P models as far as I recall. The original SR25 only has a semi auto option. Almost all SR25's made (bar the G&G one) have a full auto option either as normal or hidden, like yours.

That's the only place I've seen that fuse but I'm sure there are other places. Just nowhere I know of off hand.

Well I just got back from a 2 week summer camp with reserves, so my wallet's a l;ittle thicker than usual. I was thinking of buying the A&K one already then saw this... but it's out of my price range I think.

Yeah it does, noticed the pass through on it the other day. And looking back, the CA has it aswell.
At least on the G&P it's an easy "fix" to authenticity in that you can just swap in a standard armalite fire selector so you can't choose auto anymore. Probably better to leave it as is though because taking long-boxes out is a pain in the nads and it's not that big a deal.

i got battery yesterday...and i was shooting..in my room heh:eek:
why on full auto bb's sometimes just felt out from barrel? every few...i only did quick 3-4 bursts... to my safety glases...(btw NO stratch..hehe)
is something wrong?
and the same when i shooting single fire... every 4-5 bb;s one shoot is empty?

after changing mag..i checked the semiauto...its going good..so i changed to full...one burst...and bang...strange noise..nothing is moving..in the gearbox...now i have to open it...heh..

another problems...fire selector or ..something broke...screw broke and half is still in the gearbox...

Mark just recieved an A&K version have to say it is just great but it has a fully auto option and needs to be downgraded as in stock form it is way to hot. There is a great review for it on the rsov forum.

Sharky were did you get barrel and will any 650 barrell fit. Sorry My SR is an A&K Cheapy. But it is a good idea to have protrude up into the silencer:D

of course it's fit perfect into outer barrel it with silencer...

after take care with trigger issue..don; ask me what was the problem beacuse i don;t know..
i went to forest ...for some shooting...and i got my camo with me..
i have to admit..camo is to bit dark-green..it need more light green..but for now will do...

after shooting..a piston;s teth broke(20-30 mags)...so i put new piston..and only after 10 shoots...this one broke aswell..
what could be reason? anybody knows?
