LOL just as well im a short arse... the hide is 27" height!!!

i think i might just be able to conceal my wellies behind it!

it looked great on the shelf in the shop, in its lovely wrapping and 30 feckin euros!!

Anybody know of any decent pop-up hide?

you could have got a 2 man pop up tent camo in dunne stores for 15 euro about 3 weeks back might have been a little bigger lol.

These are designed for turkey shooting in U.S. I don't think they're really suitable for here.

To be honest I think they're too expensive for what you get - I'd prefer to use poles & nets to build hide.

i agree. a good hide, 6 or 7 bamboos and a few "bullclips", like we use in the office to attach the hide to the poles i find works great. (and a ferreting bar to make holes for the poles to go into in the hard ground comes in handy too)

Definitely!

I have some hide poles which were expensive to purchase - discovered a much cheaper alternative - Argos sell a extendable clothes line prop for €6.49 - cheapest hide pole you can get anywhere! The outer shell is green - inner part that extents is silver but a quick spray of brown / green / grey / yellow paint blends them in perfectly........can adjust height of hide to suit situation.

Haven't used the bull clips before - great idea...especially on a windy day!

We have a line of cable clips along both ends of hide net and one line of them down through the centre of hide net - very quick to just slide the poles into them and stops blowing in the breeze.

i use a retractable dog lead and clothespegs for the net works well most of the time,
