    Does that make sense?

What advantage is that to them?

Yep...that story appeared on breakingNews.ie a few hours ago.

Maybe they use Channel 6 to simulcast ITV2!

This has been in the works for a while, kinda obvious when you think about it. Two channels that recycle/re-broadcast other peeps stuff. One much bigger and far better capitalised so the other can sell-out for a handsome profit.

Hopefully they wont change the programming too much cause I like the night with Family Guy and American Dad on :).

I see your point, but sell to who though?

C6 to TV3, 6 is owned by a private consortium I belive, I guess they made an approach or were approached took a vote (having estimated the size of the swag bag) and said yes.

    So TV3 gets even crapper?

    Great.

Apart from Seinfeld repeats of course.

It'll be interesting to see if the two forces can combine to become less than the sum of their parts. My bet is that they can.

Didn't the Fast Show used to take the pi5s out of a certain crap Channel 9 in some of their sketches? Things have come to pass.

If ITV owned TV3 then you may have been onto something.

Could that be shifted to TV3 where people might actually watch it?

    Yeah, it's awesome.

There is actually a pretty decent back catalogue of comedies that could show instead of american crap that's already shown on other stations

Heroes played out interestingly. It was by far the most popular import at the time, yet the rights were secured by two small broadcasters, C6 here and Sci-Fi in the UK!

I read that TV3 plan on revamping the content to include much sport. It will be interesting to see if there's sufficient demand for it!

I want to know when Channel 6 are showing the 4th series of the US Office!

I don't get why everyone hates on Channel 6. Not every single channel that starts up has the means, or the aim, to produce original programming. As a channel that does repeats, I think Channel 6 does it very well (Seinfeld, The Office, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Heroes) .

No one forces you to watch the station. The only thing it does is give you more choice.

Does this mean that channel 6 will actually be broadcast on an analogue signal now? Its just stupid anyway, channel 6 is a nice filler channel and i enjoyed and watched heroes, there ad breaks where less annoying then tv3.

Hope it works out, although it smells like Sh*t is brewing, TV3 sport?
    TV3 irish porgramming?, oh god
