If i don't ask I won't learn so feel free be tell me these are horrible (but please say why).
    All advise appreciated.

Both of these snaps were taken on Wednesday at Vartry Reservoir in Roundwood, Wicklow.

This first one is all about the amazing clouds, I like them (being a weather mod I admit I'm a little obsessed).

This second one is of the little flowers growing in the water near a bridge, I couldn't zoom any closer to the flowers with the lens I had.

    All tips and critiques welcome!

I like the first nice wide shot plus you can see the sky reflection.
But the second does absolutely nothing for me i think in there wasnt so many ripples in the water it would look better

I love the first, I wouldnt say the second does nothing but it doesnt grab me in the way the first does. It is quite sharp but if you didnt say what your focus was I would not have known.

Great shots though, I'm a no hoper at landscape myself!

Neither shot really has much of a focal point & the eye wanders all over the place. The Horizon is very central.

If you are free next Tuesday night try & catch Peter Gordon's talk at DCC. It will be all about Landscape Photography. He also runs practical classes in Wicklow.
