    www.boxfituk.com

Can't recommend them enough. €200 for the bag inclusive of delivery to my door, from UK to Ireland, 4 days from time of payment.

Free dog with every bag too.

Yeah, still though man, what are you doing paying 200 Euro for a bag of sand? I mean if you have the money, why not, but I just can't see myself buying any Lonsdale equipment anytime soon. Still, that free dog on the top to improve your reaction times on the withdraw of your jab (cause the dog will bite your finger off if you leave the hand out there too long, right?) is definately inovative.

Exceptionally fast. Apparently Boxfit UK are a Lonsdale agent, and given that the Lonsdale website WON'T ship bags to Ireland, people go through them. They apparently have enough business in Ireland to offer postage at reasonable rates.

As for the bag itself its pretty heavy, around 77lbs or so, and its hide leather, with 44" height and 42" circumference. Padded foam interior with rag filling. D ring at bottom if you want to tie it down.

Well, 77lbs of sand would cost you a few quid regardless. My experience of buying bags is that you get what you pay for. No point buying some bag that is too small to give you a proper workout or is so tatty that it falls apart. Because then you are right back where you started. Its not just €200 for the bag either- you get the best service out there and its dropped to your door. Star Fitness wanted €160 for the 3 foot lighter version of the bag I got, not including delivery. And they STILL have to order it from England.

Dog got pushed off the bag moments after the foto was taken. Might need to stick her on next time.

yeah I suppose you're right, I've never had a dcecent one, just a string of cheapo things so I guess I have nothing to judge them against.

I'll give you an example: years ago as a very young kid I paid £40 IR for a 3 foot "BRYAN" bag in Elverys. I thought it was the Bees Knees....I completely flattened my middle righthand knuckle on it. It was filled with Sawdust and you could punch a semi-depression in it with a few solid digs. £40IR...when that was a lot of money. From a reputable Irish store I got a sawdust bag in a vinyl shell. And I had to pick it up and get it home on my own!

I also bought a "HURRICANE BBE BAG" off Ebay 2 months ago. Guy said it was a 4 foot "heavy bag", water filled. When I got it here and filled it, I realised it had NO core resistance at all. A kid could punch it in half. JUNK!!! Of course, I paid nothing for it. And I got nothing for what I paid. Nothing for Nothing.

For €200 today I got a genuine hide leather bag with a 1" foam lining, D rings, bottom D ring, 77lbs heavy, 42 inch circumference, machine filled with cotton in such a way to avoid excess swing.

I got REAL customer service from a guy in England who personally guaranteed every aspect of the deal, returned every email and gave me an idea of when it would arrive. He offered me the chance to conduct the deal via PAYPAL so I was covered regardless.

With Elverys, their idea of Customer Service is to take the mick and say "HELLO" in that chirpy fake manner everytime you walk in the store. Anyone else noticed this?? I have a pal who was personally mortified by one of them before Christmas, he tried to buy some "UNDER-ARMOUR" and was told, loudly, that he was waaay too fat to fit into it and would he like some "Thermobol". This is in the downstair section. I swear I could have punched the guy out. I really hope the internet puts the squeeze on these guys.

Yes, you are right- €200 is a lot of quid. But think about it...you could spend that in 2 nights on the Town. Its all relative. I know a lot of guys who run gyms, and for them, having the best bags is like having the best threads, or the best car. They want expensive gear in their gym. Its like everything else I suppose, its just cool to own expensive, quality gear.

    Peace

    HoC.

    Looks the business.
As for the price tag ie € 200 , As you said you are happy and feel like you are getting value for money , that is the main thing , be it €2 , € 200 or even €2000 it your cash . you have earn it , you can spend it.
when you take everything into account e-mails , service , speed etc etc looks like value for money IMO

Cheers. What makes it all the better is the bag was bought with a small tax rebate!! Nothing better than spending a tax refund.:p
