Anyone know where I can buy a single gibson tuning head?

I've been messing around with repairing guitars for a few months now, and I kinda volunteered myself to do a general setup and repair a few broken pieces on a friends Gibson flying v.

I've got pretty much everything I need now, but I can't seem to find just a single Gibson PMMH-010 tuning head anywhere, they all seem to come as a set. Thing is I only need the one, and I'd probably never use the other 5 again.

Does anyone know where I can get these online singly at a reasonable price? or would they sell them in Dublin music shops by any chance? I might be going into the big smoke next week, so if I knew where to go I could probably pop in.

I'd phone Waltons, Music Maker or Musicians Inc to see if they have any.
If not you could try www.axesRus.co.uk

Ebay can be a bit hit and miss. I recently got a single locking Sperzel but it took a bit of patience and persistance. Since they're relatively cheap, buy a set, use the one you want, and put the remaining ones back on ebay as individual items.

Hi, i think i may have some spares. PM me your postal address and i will stick it in the post for you. Will post it Monday.

i put a set of Tone Pros on my SG had a dropping incident and one of the Machine heads broke, so i bought another set, hence the spares.

Thanks for the replies lads, believe it or not I've never bought anything from ebay and I don't think I'm brave enough to start with this.

Thanks for the offer GWK I might take you up on it, but I'd have to give you something towards it even if it was just to cover postage, my guilt meter would start to run hot if I didn't :)

I'm in town on Tuesday so I'll try my luck there first, and failing that I'll see if I can work something out with GWK.

Turns out I didn't need to worry, shops seem to have no problem selling them individually. Should have guessed that really I'd imagine it's rare someone would want to replace all of them at once.

I broke one a few years ago and I was not able to replace it with out buying a full set that would have cost me 75 damn Euro I tried every fecking music shop in Ireland including Waltons but couldn’t find one individually so in the end i just fixed it myself with the lid of a Jameson bottle still holds strong today
