Mods please move if i'm repeating.
For some reason over the last few days, when I've opened youtube, I can't view clips. I clicked on the "get the latest flash player" link and when I go through the steps I get "successfully installed" message but nothing happens.
I can still view clips that people post on Boards or emails, for some reason.
    Thanks again, tech forum.:)

I presume you're using firefox. This has happened a couple of times with me setting up firefox for ppl. I just kept installing and restarted firefox a few times and it eventually worked. Strange. :)

try removing it using "add and remove programs" in the control panel and then reinstall it again.

Thanks guys. Got it. Had already done the uninstall bit, but not properly, obviously. Using Vista which gave a pop-up showing "problem encountered with flash player" and was able to uninstall it then.
The tech forum has helped me out a few times now. I'm a bit of a novice.
    Thanks.

    O.K.
Uninstalled flash player and installed newest version from the link on youtube. Worked fine until I powered off. Back to original problem.
    I'm having a senior moment.
