Was pleasently surprised with this gig after being dragged along last night.Apart from the majority of Heat magazine readers flashin their phones at Ronson, him and moreso his band put on a great show.Had full string quartet, brass, percussion section, reproducing his back catalogue to recorded perfection, always impressed with a band that can pull this off.

Anyone into live music would have appreciated this, real cabaret style with a modern punch.all round good gig

Yeah I thought it was excellent. I missed him at an unmentionable event a while ago and had heard he was excellent. Really impressed by last night.

Tripod turns into such a sweatbox during the summer though. The difference between a gig I saw there in February vs last night was unreal.

really enjoyed the gig too. What's the name of the 2 hiphop guys who came on with him? Couldn't catch it when they said it.

Was disappointed with the "after-party" in Eamonn Dorans afterwards. We though Mark would dj there but left when he still hadn't come on by 2. Did he come on at all in the end?

Not sure who those guys were.Alot of pubs do this after-party thing. Most of them aren't actually official parties but just get the punters from the gig down and play similar music. The button factory had something on and the vaults normally do similar

There's no way he'd even show up to a kip like Dorans never mind DJ there. Have you any idea how much he charges for DJ'ing?

In fairness, Ronson himself said that was where the aftershow party was so it was probably fair to expect him to show up at some stage, whatever about performing. I didn't go myself to Dorans but i did assume he would be there, as I have seen other people DJ there after their gigs in the past.

I have seen pubs with the posters claiming the aftershow is on but that is usually some opportunistic marketing more than anything.

It was an excellent gig in the Tripod. Really tight band and nice mix of guest vocalists performing music to get you moving.

Didn't realised he had played at another festival earlier this summer. Was kinda hoping he might have been added to Electric Picnic. That style of show would tear the roof of a tent.

Seen him in Belfast was quite impressed although i was probably the youngest person there @ 21...

All the golden oldies were out because they know that song he did with Amy Winehouse

I don't understand why you'd want to see Mark Ronson unless he had all the collaborators with him.

I think his production work is good but his own album..well..do you remember 'Jive Bunny' from the late 80's?

I liked the fact that the singers he had on stage sang their own stuff before the well known things. The crowd really got into it, I kinda went on a whim, but glad I did.
