So this is a thread for a comprehensive list of bands that Everyone should have an album from..... Post the artists that you think deserve a spot and i will add them into the poll...... Each artist needs at least 15 votes to make it onto the list.

Edit: Each band shall be removed from the poll after 7 days if it does not meet the requisite number of votes. Otherwise everyone will get in eventually

Perhaps, but with different interpretations from different peopl all these bands fit under alternative/indie so they do all have some form of link between them...

Dont forget you can suggest bands to be added to the list and i will add them when the space frees up. In a while I might consider starting one for an album from each and that makes the list or something.....

Like the idea but some of the choices seem fairly dubious. Stereophonics? The Frank & Walters?:eek:
Surely, there's countless better choices than these, Nirvana, The Clash, White Stripes, The Stone Roses to name a few off the top of my head.
These are bands that, one way or another, have had a big influence on music. Not knocking the F&W but can't imagine they influenced too many people outside of Cork.

I added the Frank and Walters because they made an impact on me and i started the thread etc but i do see whaer you are coming from. Worst case scenario, they are up there for a week and no one votes for them, then they are taken down.

As for Stereophonics. again i see where you are coming from, and believe me i would have thought the same until ****** this year. They were absolutely fantastic up on stage and everyone is still talking about them. I have since listened through all their stuff that i have and concluded they deserve at least the chance to be voted on....

If you wanna make a list of the bands you would like added feel free to do so. Any band that doesnt make the requiste after one week will be taken down and new bands added!

Cool idea for a thread! How about adding the Pixies to the list? Doolittle and Surfer Rosa are essential albums IMO.

Could I suggest adding Sonic Youth, Bjork, Garbage and Primal Scream? I know they may not "Indie" but they'd definitely be "Alternative"! And they're all brilliant!!

I think it's fair enough to vote for those you like on the poll and then type the ones that are absent, whether they are suggested earlier or not. Weezer would be a massive one for me
