    hi all,
just a quick plug here, i'm a member of a renault owners club (retro-renault.com), as the name would suggest its for the older of the renaults such as the renault 5 and mainly the renault 19... there are lots of club meets but all these are in the u.k, currently im trying to organize a meet for the enthusiasts over here, i know there are some about as ive seen a very sweet 89 r5 gtt a lot lately not to mention the handfulls of charged megane coupes and the one or two nineteens...

anyhow the meet is set for rosslare harbour county wexford on the august bank holiday weekend so anyone with a renault of any kind retro or non drop me a pm and i can send you all the details or general info about the club, hope to hear some feedback, many thanks
    -lar

PS. I drive a red R19 16V Cabriolet and tend to float between Wexford and New Ross so if you see me give me a beep or throw something at the car and i'll respond in similar kind

    Hey Ceb,

I remeber well doing head gaskets and clutches on 4's and 5's and and other French models of the 80's... Anyway just a tip, you may have better luck in the classic cars forum here.

Hi, I have just bought a 2009 Scenic. I have a back problem and cannot turn to reverse. I reverse using the wing mirrors but the mirrors on the Scenic are too small to see behind and down to the ground. I is possible to get larger mirrors retaining the features of the existing ones i.e. fold away, electric adjust etc. I thought there may be some from another Renault that might fit.

An add on like this would give all the normal functionality of your normal mirror and let you adjust the add on to the area you can't see , cheap option , worth a try. http://m.ebay.com/itm?itemId=120888889047

Best to install a tow bar - then just reverse til you hear a crunch. no mirrors or cameras needed:cool:

    Tom Exit,

May I suggest that in order to get a helpful response:

    a) Look where you are within boards.ie. Your query would have been better placed in Home>Rec>Motoring>Motors, not Classic Cars. (Blood has been spilt on the carpet for suggesting some 20 year-old cars are classics, never mind 5 year-old ones.)
    b) Don't "thread-jack", that is, taking over a discussion thread with a subject unrelated to the original posting. Start a "new thread" with your question/query.
    c) Don't revive old threads unnecessarily. Check the date, this thread was nigh on 6 years-old!
    d) Steer clear of abusive comments and replies like "... not F*** stupid suggestions"
    d) Go back and read the rest of the ****MOTORS CHARTER - Read before going further**** (<<<click here)

    Hope this helps.
