Dissertation 2 Yrs away

    Hi,

    I am beginning a taught masters part time and will have to do a dissertation in the final summer of this 2 yr part time course.

    When would you recommend I begin my disseration. I don't reallly wanna start it that summer. I have a few ideas and would it be any harm to be tipping away at it all along?

    I have never done a dissertation per say before (I am in IT grad and did a practical project instead). Do diff colleges have their own format and layout of dissertations?Where would I get a sample layout? And finally, just to be politically correct, is a dissertation the same as a Thesis?As if it is, there are plenty of Theses I can refer to in our college library.
