but the auralex stuff is what the pros use. in fact i read an interview with bob clearmountain the other day and he says that at least 17% of the sound quality comes from the bonding glue he uses with the panels.
as i always say good bonding glue won't make your music sound better, but bad bonder will make it worse.
you get what you pay for with this kind of stuff and the idea that you can record a hit record with 5 euro bonder is unfortunately just a myth spread by the marketing people.

ps. i do hope everyone's sarcasmometers are working today;)

I was thinking "these guys are talking about merits of different types of GLUE now? Jeez, things have certainly changed around here!"

Unfortunately the cheap stuff won't hold the tiles up in certain situations, ceilings for eg. Been down that road bought the cheap ****, panels wouldn't stay stuck, not even for a minute.

Check the ingredients make sure it is the same.;)

Bet it's kinda like two glue makers saying "I bought a microphone the other day for 3 grand", other says "man you were ridden! I bought one for €2.50".

Guess the auralex stuff is a more expensive, the packaging looks more expensive, but there's a difference in how well each works.. Trick would be to find out who makes the "Auralex" glue.

Oh! yeah. Make sure that durabond stuff doesn't melt the bloody panels either. Foam and glue.

Yes there is a very affordable replacement for aurlex glue spray which can be bought in a small carpet shop on Capel st where the hashish shop is and snooker shop and loads of Chinese karaoke bars.

The name of the glue is Moff-Stick

Putting up some foam acoustic panels was looking how to fix them

this is Euro 6.50 at atlantic homecare
    http://www.buy4now.ie/atlantic/shopping.aspx?loc=C&catid=10.0.6.7

and this Euro 39.00 (PER CAN) at musicstore.de where i am buying the panels

    http://www.musicstore.de/de_DE/EUR/Recording/Akustik-Zubehoer/Auralex-Foamtak-Spray-Klebstoff-1-Dose-/-ausreichend-fuer-9-qm/art-REC0005113-000

Some glue will melt the panels, so be careful!
