Hi. I'm looking to get a website for my photography, is there anyone here that makes websites, or know of anyone who does?

You can generally make your own fairly easily.. its not too difficult depending on how basic it is. However if you want a proper designed site, I think I'll keep it within boards.ie.. Wincest (aka Winters) designs websites. www.gbish.com

Do you know how much he charges? Im not looking to spend to much money, even though i would like a decent website. I don't want a plain website either. You see a do dark art photography, and would like to sell some of the photographs on the site. These are the sites closest to what I had in mind:

    http://erlendmork.com/

    http://www.gorgoroth.org/

    www.trelldom.no

    www.wardruna.com

I don't, but there's no harm in asking him yourself. Contact details are on his site :)

"shoot with Canon equipment and use a telephoto lens for sports and a wide angle lens for group shots, I also have a flash gun for night and badly lit events

Sorry, to pick, but can you be any more amateur sounding? Next you be telling us that you don't have film because you use a digital camera. :p
(Plus, you shouldn't be using a wide angle for group shots, apart from extreme situations.)

If you are using your website to attract clients, may I suggest that you don't state the obvious and present a more professional appearance. If not, then screw it.

Portraits should be taken from further back, with a medium lens, to minimise perspective distortion, barrel distortion and maximise DOF. Sometimes you just don't have that luxury though, so a wide angle would be the only option.

    http://www.bhalash.com

Run on Wordpress and Linux. Built using open-source tools (The Gimp, NCFTP, vim and Notepad++).

Gets the job done, for sure.

I just started making my own photography website and it was pretty easy, just have to learn how to make a gallery now, get my hosting/domain setup and im set.. It shouldn't be that hard for you.. just read/watch some tutorials and its straight forward.. I learned how to do it in a night.. then again im fairly good with computers and all that stuff..

design in photoshop>save for web>link everything in dreamweaver>host it..

    Network with your people: https://www.builtinireland.ie/
