    J. Orlin Grabbe was a legend. I first came across him when I was researching encryption algorithms. The paper I found --written by Grabbe-- was the best, clearest cryptography paper I've ever read.

    He was obsessed with political and monetary conspiracys, and had an interest and understanding of a huge range of topics.

    His website is a goldmine of information: http://orlingrabbe.com/ (warning: he mixes in pornography and other randomness with his writings.)

    He died of a heart attack few months ago. Some people think he was murdered; others think he faked his death.

    Have any of you guys come across Grabbe before?

    I've been reading his website for the last few hours, he seems to know what he's talkin about.

    No doubt he was a Crazy Loonie with anti semetic tendencies, or so someone will come along and claim shortly
