Im looking at applying for a job advertised in the local and paper and it says to apply in writing. What exactly this mean? Is it more or less a cover letter or do I send a cv too? Im thinking I should send my cv and cover letter. Any advise?

I'd imagine a CV and cover letter would do the job.

It just means that they want a standard CV and cover letter sent by post rather than via e-mail.
