Stockholm - accommodation advice needed

    Heading to Stockholm with the gf sometime in September or early October.
    Looking for aobut 4 nights, fairly flexible about what day we go/come back.
    Can get direct flights to Arlanda for about 170 each, but hotel prices are crazy on every website I've checked - e.g. about 100 quid a night for a smallish room with a shared bathroom.

    I'm just looking for a decent 2 or 3 star with its own bathroom, fairly central.
    A good B+B or apartment would be fine too. Don't really want to pay more than 100 quid a night, though might stretch to 130.
    Or a package deal including flights, although a few travel agents I had shortlisted before seem to have dropped Stockholm for city breaks.

    Any suggestions from anyone who's been there?
    Also, is there anything going on there in mid-September? Lot of places seem to be booked out.

    You'll find a big difference in rates between hotels in Stockholm,
    weekend rates are normally much cheaper that the rates Sunday to Friday.
    You may get a discount for a 3 or 4 night stay that includes a weekend -
    see if they'll give you the weekend rate for all the nights.
