Can anyone tell me where they are coming from S4C appears to be on Ch45'ish
i dont knwo what freqs the others are on

i'm thing sctv, does anyone have the a freq list for deflector groups in cork.. I suspect that it is either SCTV or Macroom that the signals are coming from.

its a seasonal problem, usually occurs for a few days or a few hours.
the better the 4 uk ch's get, the worse the 4 irish ch's get.

A few years back i tried waving a W Band Grid antenna around, but i had no luck recieving the 4 UK channels

I suspect the S4C you are getting is on Ch 50, thats the nearest main transmitter in SW Wales. There is no main transmitter in wales using 45 for S4C
Its not SCTV, as all their transmitters in Co. Cork that carried S4C are nowadays carrying Channel 4.

Aertel P169 said Spur Hill is on reduced power due to DTT work, this would make it more prone to interference from co-channel transmitters during lift conditions. Your main problem is using a 5 Euro 'contract' aerial. Replace it with something better and be much less prone to interference from other directions.
