Chorus sagem box: smart card not paired.

    I have lost all my channels, except for setanta ireland?! broadband still working.

    the message on the screen says smart card has not been paired, i rang chorus and all they could tell me was this is what usually comes up when someones tv is cut off, but they also agreed that my account is not one cent in arrears, very unhelpful on the phone, basically said "i dunno now, that shouldnt be happening, are you sure thats what it says??"

    any ideas on whats gone wrong?

    ur disconected ! box needs to be changed or ring them again and get someone that knows what they re talking about , it happened to me before and is easily rectified if your not talking to a muppet that is

    cheers, i'll ring em again in the morning. I should have got the name of the chap i was talking to today, he hadn't a clue!!

    probobly a student in for the summer!

    sometimes when the boxes go like that just phone up and politely tell them sort it now or take it out.
    They can pair up the smart card and box while you are watching the screen.so dont hang up ,tell them pair it up and stay on the phone line,if no joy tell them you want credit for the amount of time they have you disconnected.

    It happened to me last week and I just unplugged and plugged back in the box and it reset itself.
    Used to find their support OK but haven't dealt with them since they became part of UPC.
