That's correct - you also get free Meteor calls and texts.

I think that's either/or - not both offers simultaneously. Check with Meteor CC.

Relax 350 fron 3 is a better offer and you'll be able to do a lot more with your phone;)

I think it's both is it not ? If you look at the charges for Meteor to Meteor for Talk 300 it's free for calls and texts.

Agree with drunkmonkey relax plans from 3 are great. On the 350 you would get unlimited free anytime 3 to 3 calls and 350 mins (1050 texts or a combination of the two) for €49 p/month.

3 to 3 calls are practically worthless. Meteors offer is far superior for calls. You get 300 minutes to use 8am to 7.59pm Monday to Friday. All other calls to any network on landline are free. Granted, 3 have better text offers but that depends on the user.

    Plus 3 are 3.

Apologies for the mislead. Thought there must have been more in it for the bill pay vs payg.

There is. 300 minutes at PayG prices give you 87e of a bill, where it's 50e. That's saving of over 40%. Plus the whole free phone thing.

Are there any new plans coming down the line int he near future - just thought I'd ask before I sign the next year away for a cheap N95 8GB ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,731 ✭✭✭✭drunkmonkey

Before you sign the year away think about what your buying into, you buying a 3G phone on a 2G network, that makes no sense at all.....

I'd pay the extra money for the phone and get it on the kind of network it was built for....02, 3, Vodafone...

    just my 2cent...

How long before there 3G network covers 90% of the population?

I like that N95 offer as well....

Probably a while considering Vodafone don't even have 90% yet.

I may stick with 3 for another while then...there all still playing catch up..

in fairness now 3g isn't the makings of a network. what i use my phone for 99% of the time is browsing with opera mobile and the makers of opera have said that because of the way they compress things, 3g coverage has been shown to be no faster than 2g.

of course there are things where 3g coverage are a big help though
