These are some shots i took last night at about 8.30-9.30 down in crosshaven, Cork. All C+C welcome (dont be afraid to post negative criticism, as long as it's constructive ). The full set is on my flickr.

    Cheers

The first one is my fave, but change the 50 / 50 water sky ratio. More water id say. I had a quick crop, hope you dont mind. That said though, nice shot and nice with the darkening of the edges.

I think the last one is the best of the set. Better colours

Lovely shots, cant choose a favourite though. I don't mind the 50/50 thing if there is a reflection, nice symmetry

I would play around with some different crops of the last one. You look to have plenty of detail in the clouds, and you have the boat, but they are both very far away as is.

Thanks for the replies. All criticism is welcome, and feel free to play with images like DJDD.

There are more shots on the flickr, and i still have to process a few.

As for the last shot, i agree that the boat and sky are far away, i have another which is closer and will try a closer crop of the image.

    Cheers, keep it coming :)

Answer to this is in the FAQ.

I have to say that I like these, especially the fact that you have resisted the temptation to go OTT on them.

Cheers nilhg, the colours in the originals were so good, that too much processing would have made them seem really fake. I did do some PP with lightroom, but just slight adjustments like straightening the horizons, altering the tones etc...

Im definitely going to go back down to crosshaven on a nice evening again, so much to photograph.
