    Hi all,

Been quite a while since I last got to use boards, but have always found it invaluable when I have some kind of problem either personal or computer related! :)

Anyways, having a serious head wrecking problem with mozilla firefox.. everytime I try to load firefox I get the following error:

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling many times, but still to no avail.
From snooping around google, I gather that it's a very common proplem, but I've yet to find a concrete solution :( Any ideas anyone?

Thanks in advance - your help is greatly appriciated.

error? have you used a program like ccleaner after you uninstalled it? Have you deleted all the firefox folder - including the application data folders under your username (assuming it's windows) before you tried to install it again? have you restarted inbetween uninstall and re-install?

EDIT: have you used a malware scanner??? Spybot or adaware or something - I dont use windows anymore so dont know if they still used

Hi Skud, thanks for the reply.

I have used ccleaner after I've uninstalled it.
I've removed all the firefox settings manually and user settings etc...

It seems that firefox is having a problem with the following file.. js3250.dll

ya having a look there and conflicting solutions. In your C:\windows\system32 if there is a file called msktns.dll or ipv6monl.dll (be careful that they named these) then back it up somewhere and delete it from your system32 folder. Obv reinstall firefox then :p See if that solves the problem

check if there is a file called either of those above and see if another dll was modified at the same time as one of those. Something like msdtexch.dll might be there too...

If you're not sure about a file, google the .dll. There shouldn't be many recently modified system files anyway.

EDIT: instead of making more posts i'll edit, try setting a new profile in firefox - and deleting your old one. make sure you move any bookmarks over or back them up.

If that doesnt work, if you got firebug installed try disabling that. Or any javascript related plugins.

    Failing that look at: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Application_fails_to_start_because_js3250.dll_was_not_found

    That's all I can see atm :)
