    hi gus,

dunno where you are in the country but i know my local dude is well regarded, and from talking to him he certainly seems to be selling decent stuff. I'd be chatting to him not as someone ever buying the likes of what your talking about, but for small parts and plant hire bits and pieces.

    O Flynn's Garage Ballyporeen.

always has a few nice machines in stock

I've found the north to be good value but England less so at the moment. Just browsing. Maybe if I was buying England might turn out to be good too.
Look up Farm and Plant's website. They have loads of most things on it. Does have that Irish syndrom of not putting up prices though. Apparently Irish dealers make up the price when they talk to you by guaging how much they can gouge you for. Link http://www.farmandplant.ie/

If you're willing to be adventurous, this website may be of interest. They're mostly in France but the ads tell you whether the seller speaks English or not. Loads in England too. Link http://www.agriaffaires.co.uk/

Staying local (in the midlands), try Johnston's in Longford. They're John Deere dealers. Link http://www.johnston.ie/profile.htm
They've a good reputation. They have a 03 6320 with a loader on their website. 1600 hours. No price (big suprise).
Happy hunting. Wish I was in the market for something:(:D

the most reliable tractor , hard one to call , if you look after most makes , you shouldnt have too much bother , my choice would be either john deere or valmet but both of them are expensive
an interesting choice might be the claas , they have a john deere enging and they used to be a renault which is no bad thing , there are good bit cheaper than a john deere also , only thing is they only started making them about 4 yrs ago
how new of a machine are you looking for

You'll find it hard to beat a Renault Ares 620. They have the non-turbo John Deere 6-cylinder and a Gima transmission, which is related to a MF unit. They don't give trouble unless dogged and neglected and have an electric shuttle which would be good for loader work. Most have a 32F 32R transmission with a 4-speed splitter in each gear (Quadshift), although there are poverty-spec models around with Twinshift which is a 16F 16R setup.
The RZ is the model to go for, which has cab suspension and (usually) air con. There is a gaggle of hydraulic systems with varying degrees of sophistication available, depending on what you want.
They were built in Renault colours until 2004 and Claas thereafter and may be called a 626 or something else as you go newer. All in all, they are a highly recommended tractor and in my opinion, you will get nothing in the same league from the major manufacturers for similar money.

If This thread is still relevant, Johnston's had a lovely 96 fendt %14 LSA with a Massey Painted quickie loader on it about 6 weeks ago, as good as new them older fendts are impeccable machines.

    Hi
I was up in Belfast last weekend at an auction, www.alexandertractors.com
    i bought a New Holland Ts115 02, 2600 hrs on clock for £16,500+VAt,
Still worked out def 4-5K cheaper than buying here and def would not have got a cleaner tractor. They had about 200 tractors for auction ranging from John Deere, NH, Massey etc, Some very new but mostly 99 to 05. Great bargains there, think they are having another auction in March/April. They are delivering it down for £300,
    So worth a look,
