Holdem Manager - Stupid Questions

Ok, so I've been using a thing called Holdem Indicator so far when I've been playing cash games online and while it gives certain stats like hands played / VPIP/ PFR/ Agg / WSD / WWSD it really isn't a patch on either PT or HM.

After reading a lot of the threads here, I've decided to opt for HM and here comes the stupid questions :o

If I install/download HM to my PC, can I at some later stage transfer it and all the data to my laptop?

Also, can you run it on both your PC and laptop without having to buy two versions? If not, what do people do when they are say away for a tourney at the weeknd or something and want to play on their laptop?

    Cheers for any help/advice

    B

Yes. You get a license to run it on 2 machines

One more on the same topic if anyone can help

I'm using holdem manager at the moment playing on Ipoker miniview tables. I've set up the hud so that stats appear above the players at the top. However as I play they slip down and obscure the name/chips of the players. So has

    - anyone else had this problem know how to fix it?

    - or a better layout to use with HE manager for ipoker minitables?

In table manager try options and save positions.

Make sure you have latest version.

Sound theres a thread for this.

I'm trying to import 200k mined hands I have from handhq which are in notepad format. I dload the files to the folder my hands are normally imported from and It imports the 200 files, but says no hands have been imported, and sends the files to the processed folder. I know it hasn't imported them properly as I've checked a few of the player names in the hands and they're not in my db

    any ideas?

Thats a known bug caused after they increased the area which panels could be placed. Previously you couldnt put them outside the window or on the title bar. Now if you put them outside the area it will try and sneak back in. Think it might be fixed in the newest version although i havent verified

    Hey DVDFAN,

Welcome back. HandHQ are the same guys that distribute goldmine afaik, Mr Fibble and Jacques on boards I think.

If the mined files arent in the xml format ipoker client writes then HM will have problems importing them. The sample handhq ipoker mined hands are in the same format as PT2 ipoker exports which HM wont import properly http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showpost.php?p=5230749&postcount=7839 mentions it'll be fixed in next release

Was just reading the new 'plugging leaks' article on HM and see that boards.ie got a mention

''Article 3: The Fuzz Rule - Folding to Raises

The fuzz rule is basically when you get raised at small stakes up to 200nl or even 400nl you need to be frequently folding unless you have a very strong. In this analysis the filters won’t include 3bet pots or limped pots because that adds a whole different dynamic. Although the theory is obvious and well known the name “Fuzz Rule”, as I came to know it, evolved from the boards.ie poker forum where Fuzzbox was an avid preacher of this advice and rightly so. The following article goes a long way to providing proof that Fuzzbox was indeed giving good advice...''
