Query on advertising

I am not seeking legal advice as such, so I hope this isn't considered as doing so. I am thinking of placing an ad in a magazine for a service which I believe in doing so I will be the first in the country. If I am not the first to offer it would it hold consequences for me?

Sorry but this is very unclear. Fair enough you may not be looking for advice but is it even for this Legal Discussion forum? Frankly sounds to me like your better off somewhere else on boards.ie - just my view though.

Might be better suited in marketing

Is it that you want to know whether or not claiming to be the 'first to offer this [unusual] service' in your ad is legally problematic if the claim turns out to be incorrect?
