Did anyone see the small article in the Irish Times this morning about the data pricing changing for pay as you go customers.

    It says something like

data is charged at 2c/kb up to a maximum of 0.99 for 50 MB per calander day.

I didn't really understand it, but I think it means that the most your gonna be charged for a calender day is 0.99 unless you go over 50MB

This comes into effect on the 26th of August

Sounds very like the current Vodafone PrePay offer.

Now they just need some decent prepay phones, staff that know the difference between megabyte and mega pixel, and a less aggressive sounding automated voice telling you you're out of credit... (wtf is that all about? i have never heard such b*tchily rude attitude in an automated voice :::???)

it's the same as vodafone's offer and i have no intention of spending e30 a month on data. Try again meteor

What he said, provided this rumour is true.

Totally useless deal.. I was hoping more along the lines of 250mb for €7.50 or even €15 type jobby. :(

does this mean we won't be able to stick with the 1c/kb? That will make using aft alot less tempting :-(

When was Meteor's data charging 1c per KB? Currently it's 2c per KB over the WAP APN and 1/2c per KB over the ISP/Data APN on both prepay and postpay.

I am aware it is €0.0048 per KB but I rounded it off to 1/2c as it is easier for most people to understand.

sorry mean't 0.0048. Was just thinking of aft where we get charged 1c each text. Will we have to pay 99c a day or will we have a choice to stay the way it is at the moment?
