Can anyone help? I am trying to make the type on my parents computer larger for all things including larger type when accessing websites etc. I did find a setting in tools (I think) but this did not seem to work when accessing different sites.

Most likely individual application settings. What browser are they using?

troubled1, WRT to the internet if you have a wheel-mouse, hold down the CTRL key and scroll useing the wheel. This will make the font smaller / larger.

Increase the DPI under Control Panel/Display/Settings/Advanced/General

If they are running Windows XP, try right-clicking on a blank area of the desktop, selecting properties from the pop-up menu and then choosing the appearance tab. On the bottom left, there's an option for font size which might be some help.

There is a similar option buried somewhere in Vista but I don't have a Vista machine handy so I can't give you the location.

Exactly as above, but click that Advanced button you see there and inside of that change the DPI setting from 96 to 120. Also may as well throw in the larger font too.
