Dose any one else have recurring dreams ?
Last week I dreamt for the sixth time in my sixteen years that I had telekinetic powers, I've had these throughout my life, once when I was eight, once when I was twelve, once when I was fourteen, twice when I was fifteen and last week not long after I turned sixteen.
So as you can see they are becoming more common, the funny thing is I don't even think about superpowers at all when, I'm awake !!
Dose any one else have stories of weird recurring dreams that have popped up throughout your life ?

If you post in the Sleeping & Dreaming forum they could probably explain it.

Don't think it's that uncommon, happens to me sometimes.

Happens to me all the time. I have a recurring series of awesomezombie dreams, they are like films as the characters are the same but the situations different. They rock.

Lately it's been Karas dreams. These rock as they are lucid! Basically i get to be this guy.

    Can't complain really!

I'm going to let this one stay because it's got nocturnally leanings (telekinetic powers? Yes please) but if you want serious dreamy answers as the others said above its the dreaming forum.

I'll let you know about my recurring dream later tonight in the dark (it's a bit spooky)

yeah sure, if you could talk me through the dream? anything in the dream that stands out apart from superpowers. such as colours, the atmosphere, shapes, any animals, people, situations etc.
recurring dreams usually means issues that you have either ignored/scared/cant/don't want to address or way cooler is a significant time in your life and how to make the most of that time and steer you in the right direction.

    Thanks.
Well the older dreams are a bit of a blur, but the latest one is still fresh in my mind so I'll talk about it.
I don't remember much apart from 3 scenes that are still fresh in my mind.

    1. The first part I'm in like an ancient pagan site and there is are large boulders I move the boulders easily.
The scenery is a utopia, Green grass, clear blue sky the works.

2.nd Part I'm trying to move bits of paper, I spend a really long time trying to move this one little bit, eventually I do it and feel immense happiness.

3.rd Part I'm in an old Town at night in Spain, the town has brown houses with yellow light comming from the windows, the houses are tall, crooked and look like there about to fall down, I remember being told by my mother (It was only a voice and sounded nothing like my mother, but some how I knew it was my mother) to go look for an old woman, next thing I know I'm lost in this town, I look at the map but it's illegible, I begin to get frightend and very warm, tremendously warm.

    And thats where it ended.
The weirdest thing about it was it was so real, I really thought I had powers, and every time I wake up from this dream I'm like "Dammit I don't have powers" and I'm actually angry that I don't have any powers !!

This is my recurring dream from my childhood.

I swear I am not making up or in any way expanding on them.

When I was a child I used to have a dream where I would be playing alone in my front garden, with my toys.

My brother would appear to talk to me (alone, there was never ever anyone else on the street.)

But it wasn't really my brother.

It was the Devil, who was choosing to look like him.

He would cajole and try to scare and outwit me all the time.

He would threaten me and my family and anything I held dear.

It was always harrowing, with me trying to escape back into my house, sometimes screaming for my parents, sometimes staying calm, but the only escape was wakening.

I would have this dream every six months or so.

I'd be shaky for a couple of days after each episode, and find it hard to trust my brother.

I remember in the dream the whole world was in sharp focus, like the first time you drink too much coffee.

I remember the last time, I told him to get lost, and get out of my dreams. Ever since then I have never had one again.

    Nasty, eh?

this is saying you cope with the various situations with ease and your quite laid back and dont get overly stressed when faced with day to day events
you may be contemplating some changes in your life that will lay the groundwork for a more solid foundation, but you struggle to adapt or take on necessary steps to make a fresh start in life or struggle to get to a higher status, not exactly struggling with the task but the time taken to do it and eventually you will get there this has alot to do with anxiety but its perfectly normal to feel that. this is the one thing that does take time to do and you are doing this at the moment, little by little.
so im thinking that there is a pattern here,if this is recurring then its at times like this. (projects, long term plans etc)
while all this is happening, your mind is saying 'yes this plan is going to bring bright hopes and get me where i want to be in life and the possibilities are so high once i get them done' but adapting to the project for you is a whole new world, you are very very involved with your feelings in everything you do and you look within to see these new founded emotions and feelings and sometimes makes you a bit anxious and may feel that things arn't as good as you think they are or that something may veer you off your choosen path because that may have happened in the past or something has always veered you off your course and really don't want that to happen when making future or current crucial decisions.

your dreams are quite easy to interpret as your quite happy go lucky.

I used to have a recurring dream about ninjas trying to kill me when I was ten.And would wake up just as they caught me HAd it once a week every week for about two years..

Few months ago had the exact same dream. Except this time I wasn't caught. Instead the famous five helped me escape and I hid in a cabbage patch and kissed ziggy marley on the nose and he turned into a cat.

I think it means I shouldn't drink whiskey before bed.

oh god that really is awful. just hearing it is getting me spooked! it looks to me as though you saw your brother as an enemy maybe, not quite obvious to you but in the back of your mind?like doubt your brothers motives.

i had dreams of the devil sitting at the end of my bed,he was disguised in a man with fair ginger hair and a moustache and grey suit. he just sat there staring at me in my bed.
i then proceeded to do a tarot course and psychic development classes and we were to make a collage out of newspaper and magazine images, we wernt allowed to study the images just cut them out really quick and stick them on to a big piece of paper. and i couldnt believe what
i had cut out. the same man disguised as the devil in my dream!

I dunno. Mickey mouse once poisoned me with a green hedgehog. Only my uncle who lived on the canal in a boat that was decorated like a swiss roll had the antidote, which was in a tub of toothpaste.

    My dreams are weird.

My only ever recurring dream was a rather dull one about Chinese food.
Most of my dreams are one-offs, and extremely bizarre!

Dreams tend to be easy to figure depending on what group they are in.

There are cognitive dreams - whats you have seen
and Emotive dreams - your passions, worrys etc

    and a mix.. ;o/

i would venture that your dream as horrible as it was was about love.

I childs perception of the devil isnt mature, that is to say it is a 'base' view on the devil.. hes mean, hes a trickster and in a childs view the devils as bad and naughty and mean as you can get. A child doesnt think about this satan character winning souls for hell or whispering your longings into your ears.. so.. with that in mind.

You dream sees your brother, being mean, teasing you and threatening those you love.

You are worried your brother is going to be the favorite, hes going to have more sway on your parents, maybe hes been mean to your playing tricks..
Hes your brother and you love him, but in your dream hes the devil because he has hurt you and underneath your mind is wondering if your 'place' in the family unit is being made smaller by him.

its really not so bad. You replace your brother with the devil because of love. You worry about your place in the family because of love.

sounds to me like a coming of age dream.. a good one too.

you have powerful dreams. i also have dreams about flying.
flying in a dream means you are in great spirit and your confidence is at an all time high and this is in your case but there seems to be opportunities offered to you at this great time in your life and missed them or not made the most of this time of greatness. next time be aware of this and grab every opportunity that may enhance your quality of life, this dream really wants you to know this!. the reason why you fail to fly all the time is because your very emotional and make a majority of decisions based on your emotions and maybe not seeing it for the long run.

I used to have a reoccurring one when I was about 12, I was in that dungeon and dragons cartoon and I was trying to escape. Don't really remember much except my friend got eaten, and the graphics were a bit more Gummi bears than D + D...
