    Hi
I tried to take some photos of a bottle of wine ... with disastrous results ..
the light i thought was ok, i left the bottle by the window but still **** results .. i deleted the photos .. i wouldn't post them .. my camera deserves to be donated to charity after such **** was taken.. I was using a 2.8 lens ..
depth of field still looked **** .. (maybe i should use the 50 1.8)

any good tips ? do I need bright lamps for this kind of photography ?

Can you post some examples of the type of pics you wanted to take?

are you going for the glossy / advertising type photo? If so then off camera flash probably is a must, unless you have access to an attic with a nice big skylight* :)
