Bans from Soccer forum

If you get 3 points you get a season-long ban. How long is the season? Winter football or summer football? If I got a "season-long" ban tomorrow, when could I post again?

    Next season.

Good point. We define the season as running from August to May :)

You need 3 red cards which is effectively 6 points. You only have one so you can relax as I'm hoping you are not planning on 5 more? ;)

    ps. I'll edit that now.

Yeah, but winter football or summer football?

Might I suggest you post your query here

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=56563031

It's a thread discussing the Soccer rules, actually in the soccer forum.

    Interesting question actually.

Bias how? I'm in the US following MLS, kjacdl is an eircom soccer fan and PHB follows some unknown tiny english team. August to May is when the forum is the busiest and we run our "season" by the bandwidth.

    Cork dude.

It works in your favour tbh.

Get banned mid-season, and you be back before the season ends.

Now sush and don't ruin it for us all.

is it yellow card is 1 point and red card is 2 points?

6 pts result in a season ban and 1 point is week ban?

    I cant find it anywhere!!

It is in the charter for soccer, although we actually assume you can do simple arithmetic and didn't spell it out.

2 yellow cards get you a red card.

3 red cards get you a season long ban.

The caveat is that a season long ban is at least 6 months long (so if you are banned on the last day of the season you still get a 6 month ban).

The season actually runs August-August by the way :)

Why can't points/cards/bans be appealed? Why do you get a straight yellow? Shouldn't the ref talk to you first and give you a warning about your conduct? Should the "black book" used in GAA be introduced to Soccer?

    :D Yes.

I'd like to point out in my defence that I haven't once questioned your eyesight or mental competence.

I still think you should get a warning before a booking. Where do I lodge my appeal?

You were banned under the old rules, and therefore, it is stricken from the record.

You should be on 0 points, like me. :)

And, btw, your use of the "s" word was directed at a whole town.

Should have read the charter shouldn't you. :p

Saw your post in the Soccer forum where you quoted my post. Your "facts" are bullsh*t. Mooney has already turned Premier League clubs. But it's adorable watching you tell me "facts" about a player you know sweet f*ck all about. :p

Pure Cork, You're going to have to go through an access request procedure to get back into soccer and quite frankly, it is posts like this one which will pretty much rubber stamp a rejection when you do.

Could you tell me what exactly is wrong with the post of mine which you quoted? Apart from it having something to do with the Soccer forum...

Well when I review access requests I review a posters previous posts on boards.ie. If they look like a troublemaker or troll elsewhere, I assume they will be in soccer too.

In this case you've tried to troll a soccer forum member on feedback because you cant reply to him in soccer. Not a good start.

You also repeated the offence for which you got banned by abusing a poster here using the same term. Incidently, just because I edited the post in soccer and you deleted your post in feedback from the view of general masses, doesn't mean the post is gone or an original copy of anything edited is gone. The originals still exist. Appropriately ranked moderators can see it and I still have access to it for viewing if required.

I'm not saying you're not getting back into soccer, I'm saying that I'll be reviewing the posts you've made since your banning before deciding whether to let you back in, as I do with all applicants. What you do with that information is your own business, but it isn't looking good for you right now.
