    Guys
Just FYI, checking my TV this morning and Sports XChange is available, but on 417, not 421.

Just watched a bit. One room. 3 men and a lot of chat I suspect.

Not a fan of this channel, come on UPC, give us some decent entertainment or music channels. Do they listen to it's customers at all?

Is that a rhetorical question? :D

It doesn't work for me on Sky. Constant breakup but as it is the only channel to do this I am not bothered about realligning the dish.

Tis grand, needs some tweaking - one the US presenters is a bit LOUD!

But anything with Lydia Hislop popping in is fine by me.

    Mike.

    Exactly ;):D

Of course they don't, the give away to that is them taking channels off and not replacing them and by putting the likes of DCTV and Buzz Tv on and expecting us to consider that as replacements for the loss of other channels.

So this channel only lasted some 6 months. Did a rescan of channels on UPC digital and noticed we'd dropped one. Coudn't figure out what it was until last night and now confirmed:

It has been confirmed today that SportsXchange (SKY 456) has ceased broadcasting. The channel now shows a message saying "Goodnight and god bless form the SportXchange"
It also states on screen "RIP SportXchange - Crunch Credited"

The struggling sport news channel was known for having rights to broadcast Brazilian soccer and the Coppa Italia.

In a telephone interview this afternoon the distressed sounding SportXchange MD blamed "the current economic conditions and competition".
He went on to say "It is with great regret that i have been left with no choice other than to cease broadcasting. In this tough economic climate, struggling advertising and low viewing figures have forced us to end. We are very proud of SportXchange and it is a terrible shame"

It is feared that this is the first of several low budget broadcasters to buckle under the pressure of the credit crunch.

I hope BuzzTV can weather the storm. :)

Now UPC, can we have some real channels please?

Believe it or not SportXChange was actually a half decent channel.

They had a number of live games and had a good "soccer saturday" style updates show for the premier league complete with in-running betting details.

I'm sad to see it go. :(

I'll take you word for it. How it died and BuzzTV is still going is beyond me. Perhaps the cost of being on Sky killed SportsXchange?
