contract ending soon, can i get the dole?

    My contract is ending in two weeks time, can i get social welfare cause i was neither fired or quit, just subbing for someone on term time, so i know exactly when ill be out of work, also i know that it take a couple of weeks to receive social welfare so can i apply before my contract is up or do i have to wait until the day after i finish?

    I had a friend who was in the same boat... contracted was renewed, you just need a letter from your employer to say your contract has come to an end/ they dont want to renew it.

    I doubt you can apply untill your actually out of work.

    You can apply when the contract is up, just have a letter to say why your job ended as well as the other documents.
