I have my original iPod Synced to my PC but my iPod has gone belly up!

I have bought a new iPod so I want to use it in place of my original one.

How can I get my PC to Sync to my new iPod & put all the songs that are in my iTunes on to my new replacement iPod?

I'm going on Hols in 2 days so would appreciate if someone could advise me soon :)

Hey Gadgetman, I would have thought that you can just plug your new ipod into your pc as normal, and you can click the "sync" button. the ipod will then be updated with what is in your itunes library.

    Is this correct?

I have a bit of an issure re an ipod too if anyone had any thoughts.
My laptop went bellyup last week which had all of my music stored in itunes on its harddrive.
I have bought a new laptop today and am trying to get my music from my ipod (as it is a storage device like) onto my new laptop. If i try to sync my ipod and new (empty) itunes it says my ipod will be erased!

    Help?

That is what i thought. When you connect the ipod it should ask if you want to sync that ipod to your itunes

That was my understanding too but it would not do it.

Anyway it's sorted now, there was a button in the iTunes settings that allowed me to "Reset Sync" so I clicked on that & then plugged the new iPod in & it picked it up & Synced it straight away.
