    Heading here in September,

Anyone offer any advice regarding Vaccinations?

Should I just contact my GP or is there a standard list of required ones somewhere?

Google hasn't been too clear with advice,

    Thanks,

    Welly

I was there in May, I got vaccinations for Hep A, Typhoid and Tetanus as recommended by my GP. You can check out what the Tropical Medical Centre's website recommends for various destinations on their website www.tmb.ie

Vaccinations are quite expensive, and add your GP visit to that and you get over 100 euros at least.

Unless you're going on Safari in the Kruger Park, or going to the North / North East of the country (ie. anything north of Pretoria (the capital) or east of it).

If you're going to Cape Town, Garden Route, etc. you don't need vaccinations. You could take a tetunus I suppose in the unfortunate event you get bitten by a dog (unlikely if you stay away from strays) and I would then make sure NOT to swim in river waters / dams and you will be fine.
