How do you go about a postgrad? Can anyone get into anything they want once they have a degree?
Can they do courses in other colleges?
Im second year EPL and still have no clue how this works!

Well I graduated from EPL last year and went on to do a masters in International Organisations in DCU this year.

Applying for postgrads is different depending on where you apply. All the information will be on the particular universities website showing the courses they offer and the different requirements they have.

For taught post grad courses in the school of law and government all the information is here.

My experience is I applied during the summer after my exams through an online application site (all the details are in the above link), and had to write a personal statement as to why i should get into this course.

then when you get your results come out the process the applications like the CAO and offer places to the top candidates.

To do a masters you are usually expected to get at least a 2.1 in your degree and the better your mark then better chance you have of getting accepted.

It would probably be best to talk to someone in DCU about it, sometime during the year email maura conway (who is the head of the law and government postgrads) and im sure she'd be happy to meet with you and answer any questions about the courses.

    hope that helps.
