    Guys,

Been around this forum for the last few months and have got alot of tips and advice. I mainly take photos for my home GAA club as i am just getting into photography. The flickr account is made up from 3 of us that post photos.

I was at the Fingal V Leitrim game yesterday as a couple of our players were involved. so here's three that turned out ok. Any advice and tips welcome.

to my eye theyre some nice shots, ive never really shot any hurling (there aint much of it played up in Donegal...and less in Glasgow!) but these look pretty good to me.

The second one makes me laugh though, i can just hear the leitrim player thinking "AAAAAArrrrrrrrrgh there's loads of them!!!!" :D

Have the canon 70-300 IS lens. picked it up about a month ago, so still getting to grips with it. To be honest still getting to grips with the camera, it's a 400d but i am a complete beginner. From what i read here just practice practice and practice...

Nice shots, great start. Good selection of pictures too, this can be nearly as hard as taking them :)

That's for sure. From the advice got on here and keeping a eye on the ones that get the papers the mind is a little more focused on what you need to be looking for. Thanks for the comments guys. off and running with my first c&c so I'll get a few more up now.

Really nice shots Derek. Esp number 1, I think it captures the game really well, something that is to my mind quite hard with hurling.
