Root Canal Filling - chipped

Hi all, just a quick one - I've chipped a filling over a root canal and think I've exposed some of the rubber compund that fills the nerver canals. Does this pose any health risk in terms of infection etc? Should I treat it as urgent or wil making a normal appointment suffice? Advice appreciated Cheers
