    how far are they from each other?? as in the airports!

    luton to gatwick is 70 miles
    gatwick to stanstead is also 70 miles
    stanstead to luton is about 50 miles

    How far is each one from the centre of London, in miles and in travel time?

    One point: Gatwick (an airport I dislike - full of glittery shops, too crowded, many repeated security checks and photograph-taking by jobsworths holding everyone up) is much cheaper from the point of view of getting into London. The one-day Travelcard is around £11 from Gatwick and something like £22 from Stanstead. It's about £16, I think, or £18, from Luton.

    I like Luton best, small and sane, but it's getting bigger, and getting the same bossy-boots factor that's so annoying in Gatwick.

    Gatwick would be the closest to central London and directly south, Stanstead is slightly further away and just to the north east and Luton a bit further again and north west'ish. I think Gatwick and Stanstead have the better links to the city, but then it would depend on which end of the city your wanting to get to as well.
